September 2014 TopBox Beauty Box - Review and Unboxing

TopBox is a Canadian Beauty Box Subscription! For $12 CDN a month with free shipping (I pay $12.60 each month with tax), you will receive 4 deluxe sample size or full size products. You fill out a beauty profile and get items based on what you have identified. Also, every month you have the option to "wish" for a prive box. A prive box is a box that focuses on one brand or product for the whole box.

This month I selected a regular box - and I was so excited it shipped it 2 days!

Here is a look at my September Topbox:

Each month you pick between the tube & more environmentally friendly organza bag (they can both be reused in some way to me so I selected the bag). I like that the products inside look well packaged!

Here is a closer look inside:

I'm a little bummed that there isn't one makeup product - but what is there still looks good to me so I won't complain! Here is a closer look at the products I received:

Bioderma Sebium Foaming Gel ~ sample size 15ml for $1.50 (full size is 200 ml for 19.95). Said to gently cleanse without drying out - and it's exclusive patent also biologically "prevents imperfections". This is for combination/oily skin so it wouldn't be an every day cleanser - it sounds like these products are pretty good so it shouldn't irritate my sensitive skin. I will bring this on vacation with me, it's the perfect size!

Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo ~ sample size 21.3ml for $3.96 (full size is 156 ml for $29). I haven't received dry shampoo yet in a subscription box so I am happy to see this - it is nice for a little root or bang touch up (I have very fine hair so I usually need a touch up) and this is good as it leaves no white residue. The smell is quite strong, so it could be a little lighter!

Institut Esthederm Lift & Repair Absolute Smoothing Cream ~ sample size 10 ml for $27.80 (full size is 50ml for $139). Diminishes fine lines and wrinkles and makes skin look radiant. While fine lines are wrinkles are not my main concern, but you can never start too early - I might as well work at it early!  I will happily use up a sample of super duper expensive face cream! Feels nice and has a good formula! I'm excited to use this!

Essie Nail Lacquer in "Sand Tropez" ~ full size $9.99. I love Essie polish - I have included a swatch of this color. It is the perfect nude color - which is on trend right now! I will definitely be using this - my other nude is a small polish and is a little darker than this. You can never have too many polishes in my opinion!

So, for $12.60 I received $43.25 worth of items! Great value in this bag and I am really excited to try this expensive face cream (I am sucker and I hate spending that much on full size!). All the other products were great and I am really happy with this bag - my only critique would be that I would have liked to see 1 makeup product!

What did you get in your September Topbox?
