August 2014 Lip Monthly Beauty Box - Review and Unboxing

Lip Monthly is an inexpensive beauty box subscription focusing on lip products. It costs $10 a month + $5 shipping to Canada.

Lip Monthly describes their boxes as: For only $10/month, LipMonthly helps you discover the best lip products on the market. Every month we’ll send you a unique box straight to your door and help you discover the best of Lip Glosses, Lip Sticks, Lip Balms, Lip Stains and much more.

I signed up for the August Box when I saw a coupon for the first box for $6.99. There was no way I could turn down a box for $7! I'm not usually huge for just boxes with lip items - only because I am very basic with my lip products!

Jesse's Girl Cosmetics Liquid Glass Lip Gloss in "Gypsy" ~ full size $4.99. Yay - a lip gloss in a beauty box that is a color that works for me! It is smooth and non-sticky and I quite like it!

City Color Cosmetics Lip Balm in "Dusty Rose" ~ full size $2.99. Ultra smooth with a splash of color. I think I will like this color - I am going to keep it closed for a while until i get through the 10 lip balms I have open right now!

City Color Cosmetics - Magic Balm ~ full size $3.99. Magic Balm is described as "dry, chapped lips will vanish, with the City Color Magic Lip Balm. This cute little lip balm is formulated to hydrate lips and add just a light pink tint." Again, I'm keeping this closed until I get through a few more open balms!

City Color Be Matte Lipstick in "Phoebe" ~ full size $3.99. Described as every girl's must have secret. It is highly pigmented and long lasting! 

Pixi by Petra Lid Last Shadow Pen in "Gentle Gold" ~ full size $18. Cream to powder, non-creasing shadow pen. I have included a swatch of this color - i did just receive a pen like this (but a little darker) this is waterproof as well! 

So this beauty bag is $15 a month, and came with all 5 full size ingredients with a value of $33.96. I am actually really impressed with the value of this bag and within lip products they included a good variety! I think the only thing I would critique is that 3 of the products were the same brand, but it is good to find an inexpensive lip brand you like!
