Finally Trying Glossier - Ultralip High Shine Lipstick with Hyaluronic Acid & Cloud Paint Gel Cream Blush

I have been wanting to try Glossier for years, but for some reason (shipping/exchange rate) I never ordered from them. But, they just recently came in to Sephora Canada and so I waited for the VIB sale to pick up a few things and give them a try!

I purchased these products - this post contains affiliate links

Glossier was started in 2014 with this adorable millennium pink minimalist vibe - it was one of the original brands going for that light, dewy, no-makeup makeup look. I know they've been updating their formulas to meet the "clean at Sephora" or vegan standards, I can't compare any new and old formulas, so I'm going in to this totally fresh just trying these products for the first time!

Glossier Ultralip High Shine Lipstick with Hyaluronic Acid in Villa ~ $23.00 CAN. A high-shine lipstick that has the rich moisture of a balm, sheen of a gloss, and buildable color of a lip tint in one step, without having to layer multiple products.

This is basically the only type of lip product I used - love a high-shine lipstick, or I prefer to consider these a tinted balm. It's a nice light amount of colour, that has a nice smooth, pretty finish. It's not as high-shine as the Makeup By Mario ones, but does were a little longer and looks great on the lips!

The shade Villa is called a "dusty rose" and again, it's the shade I always go for. Love this shade, love this formula, will easily become a go-to lipstick/tinted balm for me!

Glossier Cloud Paint Gel Cream Blush in Dusk ~ $26.00 CAN. A sheer, easy-to-use, buildable gel-cream blush contains blurring pigments for natural, seamless, streak-free, dewy cheek color and a lit-from-within glow.

This is one of the OG products from the brand, and as I've been getting more in to cream products (although I would classify this as a liquid blush) and I was excited to try this. The formula itself is good - it does recommend applying with a finger, but I think that a blush is a little easier to apply with a brush and I do like the finish of it on the cheeks. What isn't good is the package - the second time I tried to use this it squeezed so much out I have to get a container to put it in so that I didn't waste a week or two's worth of blush!

The shade Dusk is described as a "brownish nude" - it's not a typical shade that I would go for, but I want to have a variety of blush shades! This blends out to a nice nude on the cheeks and it will be the perfect Summer and Fall shade!

Here is a look at both products on me - I have the Glossier Ultralip High Shine Lipstick with Hyaluronic Acid in Villa on the lips and the Glossier Cloud Paint Gel Cream Blush in Dusk on my cheeks. Happy with the application of both products and have been enjoying them (just the packaging with the blush would be so much better with a different applicator!)

Have you tried Glossier? What's your favourite product?!
