I have been seeing a few people that I follow recently using eyeshadows as nail polishes (and I've especially seen it with the Clionadh Cosmetics stained glass shadows because they are multichrome pigments and offer a really unique finish on the nails) and I really wanted to give it a shot! I think it turned out so pretty and I actually think the shift and finish was a little hard to capture in a picture!
Through the month of April, the #CBBxManiMonday group is featuring pastel nails, so I used a pastel base and an iridescent multichrome for this mani!
The products that I used for this week's Mani are:
- Clionadh Cosmetics Iridescent Multichrome shadow in Luminaire
- Maniology Stamping Art Polish in Rocko Wear
- Formula X Nail Cleanser
- Essie Gel Couture Top Coat
- OPI Infinite Shine Primer
- dense eyeshadow brush (not pictured)
For this week's mani, I started with a nail cleanser and base coat, then two coats of a pastel peach polish and I let the polish dried very well. Then, using a dense eyeshadow brush, I dipped the brush in to the shadow and patted it on to the nails. Then I patted it on until I was happy with the coverage making sure to get all the edges. I finished with top coat!
I think this before and after really shows the transformation with the multichrome shadow on top! It's such a pretty shade!
I'm really happy with how this turned out and it was surprisingly easy to do! It actually opens a world of possibilities for polish shades now!
I hope you all have a great week! As always, make sure you check out Cosmetic Proof and Prairie Beauty Love for their #CBBxManiMonday for their pastel nails!
Oooh, this turned out so nicely! You can totally see the duochrome!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I love the look of how it turned out!
DeleteI love how this looks. I use to mix mineral foundation with nail polish to make my perfect nude nail polish shade. Making your own stuff is so much fun
ReplyDeleteOoooh - I never heard of that before!
DeleteWhat a unique idea! They turned out really nice.
ReplyDeleteThis tip is new to me, I love how it turned out! I can't remember the last time I used nail polish, I think I will try that this weekend.
ReplyDeleteThanks! So happy with how it turned out!
