Rodial Collagen Boost Lip Lacquer ~ £28.00/$29.00 US/$35.00 CAN. Wrap lips in a hydrating veil of high shine gloss enriched with a collagen boosting complex. These nourishing crème glosses have been expertly formulated to support collagen production, encouraging a boost of volume for visually plumper looking lips.
These glosses are supposed to have a creamy, non-sticky formula, that is hydrating and comfortable to wear. Lips will look smooth and have a high shine finish!
I was really impressed with the formula of these lip glosses. I will be honest in saying, I have been slow in switching from matte lips to the glossy lip look - I haven't found many gloss formulas that I really like. I find most formulas are too sticky or thick for me to enjoy wearing. But, these glosses are not sticky at all. They feel really thin and light on the lips, while giving a nice wash of colour.
Also, they are a collagen boosting formula; but, they have no tingling sensation at all so it's not an instant lip plumper. It's more a smooth, overall fuller look finish as opposed to full on lip plumper effect.
Rodial released 6 shades in this new formula ranging from a nude brown to a rose pink shade, with one iridescent champagne shimmers. The lip glosses have a very light, sweet scent with a flat doe foot applicator.
In terms of wear, these did last decently long for a gloss - they aren't going to be transfer proof or stay on through eating or drinking; but, they did wear off in a natural way!
Bae-Berry ~ cool toned, light pink
Stripped ~ muted rose toned nude
Champagne Showers ~ iridescent champagne shimmer
Bae-Berry is described as a cool toned, light pink and I really like this shade. I thought it was decently opaque with one application, it maybe could have used a slight touch up; but, I really like the coverage it offered for a gloss formula.
Bae-Berry was certainly my favorite shade of the shades that I tried - it's a lovely pink that is perfect for Spring!
Stripped is described as a muted rose toned nude - it is a little more of a peachy-nude on me. A couple of years ago, I would not have worn this shade; but, I'm certainly more comfortable wearing a nude shade now, especially with this glossy finish!
I like this hint of peachy nude - it's more of a light wash of colour; but, still pretty opaque with one coat!
Champagne Showers is described as an iridescent champagne shimmer shade and it's super shimmery! As I'm wearing these shades, I'm never sure how I feel about them; but, looking back at pictures, I think they look so good! I love how shimmery this is and I'm most likely to wear this over a deeper shade to add a shimmer look!
I do really like the finish of this shimmery lip gloss! Overall, I was really impressed with this formula on all the shades I tried!
Like I said at the beginning, we do not have to wear sticky or goopy gloss formulas any longer as so many brands are coming out with better formulas! This is a great option!
I love glosses! And I actually love the sticky ones (think MAC). Ok, so I don't like it when my hair gets stuck to my lips, but I just find that the stickiness makes them last longer and I have to reapply less often.
ReplyDeleteThese ones from Rodial do sound good though. The shades all look good on you! Bae-Berry is definitely the type of shade I usually go for.
Agree about the long-lastingness of the "extra sticky" glosses. They feel weird, but if I am at work that's my go-to since I want the colour to stay on my lips. I really do like the look of all three of these shades on you though! Super shiny!
DeleteThanks ladies! I just remember over-goopy sticky lip glosses and it throws me right off if anything is sticky!
Deleteoooh these look so pretty!! I love the pink shade
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteI love these lip lacquers, and I usually hate lip glosses! My favorite Bae-Berry too!
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm not fully on board the lip gloss train and I love these!
