Sephora Collection #Lipstories Lipstick in "Brunch Date"

When I saw the Sephora Collection #Lipstories lipsticks released a while ago, I knew I had to give them a try! First, they are only $10 Canadian each (which is more affordable than most drugstore lipsticks right now!), and second, they packaging and shades looked amazing!

Sephora Collection #Lipstories Lipstick in Brunch Date ~ $10.00 CAN. A high-pigment, lightweight lipstick that provides full-coverage color in one swipe. Available in 40 shades and three finishes: matte, cream, and metal.

The shade I picked up is "Brunch Date" and it's a warm peachy nude in a matte formula. It such a gorgeous shade and perfect for Summer! The lipstick looks really sleek and it a really nice shape - I like the #matte imprint on it as well! I still can't believe this is only $10!

I thought the packaging was adorable when I saw these lipsticks - each of them have a picture matching the name and story of the lipsticks. The pictures and packaging are all so pretty and the "stories" range from Holidaze to Wifed Up to Festival Vibes and more!

The packaging itself is a cardboard style package, which isn't really my favorite. It just feels a little flimsy (it is still sturdy - I just can be a little careless and drop or squish things, so I just need to be careful if I plan on taking it anywhere with me!)

I love this shade of Brunch Date - it is such a perfect peachy shade and I don't actually have many other like this in my collection!

This lipstick applied very well - one coat and it was opaque on my lips. It was really comfortable to wear and had a decent wear time for a bullet lipstick. It actually didn't look overly matte on my lips, which I liked - it had a more creamy finish and stayed in place well on the lips (it isn't transfer proof of course; but, it didn't smudge everywhere either).

I can't speak to the other shades or formulas in the #Lipstories collection; but, I really liked the formula of Brunch Date!

And, here is a look at Brunch Date in a whole makeup look - I don't usually reach for a full peach lipstick like this; but, I actually love this shade! I can see this being worn a lot this Summer!

Have you tried any shades from the #Lipstories collection? What's your favorite shade? I want to pick up some more!

  3. Oh this looks so good on you. I have the lip scrub from SEphora it comes in a similar paper tube. I know what you mean about them not being the best for longevity.

    1. Thanks Jill! I know, it's hard to complain too much about the packaging as it helps to keep the cost low, but, it's not too sturdy!
