I was a little late to the game with trying out the L'Oreal Lash Paradise mascara and then once I tried I was totally hooked! Now, L'Oreal has recently released some new products including a Paradise Enchanted collection (with scented products) and I did not want to be so late to the party this time around!
The L'oreal Paradise Enchanted collection includes a 12 shadow, warm tone, fruit scented palette, a rose gold and black liquid eyeliner, warm toned, fruit scented blushes, and a millennial pink lash primer!
I picked up the eyeshadow palette, blush, and black eyeliner to try from the collection; plus, I also picked up a Colour Riche Shine lipstick to try as I have heard that they are very good!
L'Oreal Paradise Enchanted Eyeshadow Palette ~ $22.99 CAN (prices vary from $16 - $24 Candian depending on retailer). With multiple shades and finishes, the Paradise Enchanted Eye Shadow Palette flatters different eye colours and skin tones. The palette is infused with an enchanting fruit scent for an ultimate sensorial experience.
This is a scented eyeshadow palette; but, it is a very delicately scented palette - it's light and peachy scented (like fuzzy peaches). This palette has a range of warm shadows - creamy ivory, rosy nudes, bronzed ambers and pops of coral pinks, and it has a good mix of mattes and shimmer shadows.
I certainly don't need another warm, peachy palette; but, this Paradise Enchanted palette really called to me! I love warm and peachy shadows - they are exactly what I like to wear!
I like that this is a 12 pan palette; but, still feels on the smaller end - that might sound weird; but, I don't like huge palettes. I think this has a good mix of mattes and shimmers and has a decent shade range. A few of the deeper browns look a little similar; but, there is different finishes in there. I will say that this is pushing the price of "drugstore" palettes for me - it is certainly on the expensive end for what I expect to pay at the drugstore!
Here is the palette swatched - these shadows aren't named, just numbered so this is #1 on top all the way down to #12. I have never actually tried L'Oreal eyeshadow before and I wasn't sure what to expect!
I was surprised by how much I liked the shadows in this palette! The shimmers swatched and applied amazing - they were pigmented and smooth. The mattes were quite soft as well; but, were a touch on the powdery side when swatched. I thought they applied to the eyes nicer and were very blendable!
L'Oreal Paradise Enchanted Scented Blush in "Fantastical" ~ $18.99 CAN (price ranges from $15 - $19 Canadian). L’OrĂ©al Paris presents Paradise Enchanted blush, a fruit-scented powder blush with captivating warm shades. The soft velvety texture allows easy application, rich colour pay off and lasting results.
Fantastical is a bright peach with a slightly pink hue! This is scented - and I love the sweet, fuzzy peach scent! It is stronger scented then the eyeshadow palette; which, I found had just the slightest smell - if you are looking for something that you can smell when applying, you will like this blush!
I do need to mention that if I was surprised by the price of the eyeshadow palette, I was even more surprised at the price of this blush!
Blushes are never easy to swatch as they apply so different to the cheeks - I thought this was super smooth! It was easy to apply and went on with the right amount of pigmentation for me. Meaning, it wasn't too bright when applied, but showed visible colour and you could build it up to your pigmentation level!
L'Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Felt Tip Liquid Eyeliner in Black ~ $12.99 CAN (prices vary from $10 - $18). This liquid eyeliner glides on easily for rich, high shine and waterproof color that lasts up to 12 hours. The rich, waterproof formula dries quickly for a long wear high shine finish.
I was really excited to try this - I'm always on the hunt for a great black liquid liner. This has a felt tip applicator; but, it really reminded me of a brush tip applicator. I prefer a felt tip liner; to me, this was too long of a felt tip that was hard to manage while applying this to the lid. It's just not my favorite applicator.
There is no doubt that is an incredibly pigmented liner and is a great formula! I'm not really use to the high shine finish, and it is such a stand out on the eye - it is such a bold, true black finish! I really like this formula, despite not having my favorite applicator!
L'Oreal Colour Riche Shine Lipstick in "Sparkling Rose" ~ $12.99 CAN. Ultra-rich, ultra-radiant shiny lipstick. Glossy, high colour finish for lips that Shine.
This line of lipsticks is not in the Paradise Enchanted collection; but, they are a newer line of lipstick from L'Oreal, so I thought I would try one out as well (I have seen them in a few youtube videos and was totally convinced I needed one!) I really like idea of a stick lipstick with a good amount of colour; but, also a glossy like finish!
This wasn't a super pigmented lipstick; but, it was exactly what I was looking for in this formula! It is a beautiful shade, with a medium-type pigmentation, that wore well on the lips and wore off in a way that looked really natural. The formula was comfortable and had such a pretty finish on the lips! Sparkling Rose is such a pretty shade!
Here is the eye look that I created with the L'Oreal Paradise Enchanted eyeshadow palette! I used #2 as a base shadow, #8 in the crease, and #9 to deepen the crease. Then on the lid, I have #12 on the outer lid, #10 on the lid, and #3 on the inner lid. (I also have the liner on here as well).
And, here is the full look using all the new L'Oreal Paradise Enchanted collection products! I have the Paradise Enchanted eyeshadow palette and the Lash Paradise eyeliner on the eyes, and the Fatanstical blush on my cheeks. And, I have the Sparkling Rose Colour Riche Shine lipstick on! Overall, I'm happy with how all of the products in this line performed!
In terms of the price point, I do think that these are on the higher end of what I'm normally looking to pay while at the drugstore. I did think the quality was good though, so I was happy with my purchases despite the price.
Are you thinking of picking anything from this line up?

Have you seen the palette anywhere for $16? I'd pick it up at that price tag, but so far I've only seen it for $25 or so and I can't handle that kind of price on a drugstore palette!
ReplyDeleteIt's $15.47 CAN on amazon.ca right now! And, it's linked there through the L'Oreal Canada website so it's not from some random shop! And, I got it for $17 at Shoppers on sale. But, everywhere else I've seen it higher.
DeleteThese are such pretty shades! I prefer cool tones on myself, but can still appreciate the beauty of a warm palette. :-) I love the look you did with these!
ReplyDeleteThanks Chantal!
