Five on Friday - July 20, 2018

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you all had a great week - mine has been busy! Again, it's always hard to get home late on the weekend from holidays and get right back in to work on Monday morning!

ONE

As busy as it has been, I did have a little time one evening and got the urge to reorganize my makeup room a little! I have been considering these photoframe shelves from Ikea for some time as they could hold a lot of palettes and I have been running out of space and I think they turned out so good! I love the display look of it and now I can see everything!

And adjusting the palettes gave me some room to adjust a few other things around and organize my shelves! I get weirdly fixating on organizing sometimes and just wasn't feeling very creative in this space having products in spots I didn't like! I'm so happy with how it turned out.

TWO

This past week, we were in my hometown of Penticton, B.C. We did the typical beach town activities - beach, icecream trip, wine touring and minigolf! We had such a good trip - maybe I will do a travel post with all my favorite Penticton activities - what do you guys think?

THREE

Are you a member of the Rocky Mountain Toxin-free Community? It's essentially joining their email list; but, 4-6 times per year they offer free products to members! This time, between July 19-21 you can pick up this Breakout Buster (great for acne, cold sore, and bug bites) for free! You can get it online but I just went out to a store and picked it up! So join now if you want to try some goodies from Rocky Mountain Soap Co.

FOUR

I finally went to the new Nordstrom Rack that opened a couple of months ago in Calgary and loved it! What a great store - they had so many good designer names that were affordable! The 2 tops are Catherine Malandrino and were $20 each and this lovely Vince Camuto dress I picked up for a wedding this summer was $80 (it is currently on the Nordstrom website for $205 CAN so it was a good deal!!!)

FIVE

I have not updated my Book page in a couple of months - I haven't finished a physical book in a while; but, I actually added 7 audiobooks to my completed books! I have say how much I loved this MaddAddam trilogy by Margaret Atwood - I was worried it may be too dystopian/futuristic for me and I really enjoyed reading these!

I hope you all have a great weekend - my will be a little busy! I have my older son flying back in tomorrow, a bachelorette party to go to and a baby brunch with our group!

  1. I'm heading to Calgary for a week on Saturday, and seeing those clothes makes me super excited to stop at Nordstrom Rack!
