February 2016 - Month in Masks & Mask Empties

As most of you know by now, my Skincare Routine is very important to me and masking is a huge part of that routine (and it is probably my favorite part of my skincare routine!

This post is a review of all the masks I use each month and mini reviews on all of them - I also consider the Month of Masks my Mask Empties post, because I do not feature my sheet masks in my monthly empties post! You can check out my past Month of Masks here

Ugh, in advance you guys I did not use nearly enough masks this month and I can tell you that my skin was not happy with this! My goal to make up for this in March is to use a mask every single day!

February 3
Passport to Beauty - Gold Radiance Luxury Facial Mask with Collagen and Rose Oil ~ 1 mask for $32.50 ($65 for 2 mask set). Egyptians believed the healing powers of gold could cure all manner of physical, mental and spiritual ailments. Romans used gold preparations for treatment of skin lesions and sores. It is believed that Cleopatra wore pure gold for a radiant complexion. In ancient Chinese medicine, gold was the secret to youthful skin.

I got this mask in a past FabFitFun box and did a more detailed review on a Wine and Mask Wednesday here. I actually really like hydrogel masks and this one lasted for 45 minutes and still had essence left over! I really liked this, but that price tag is so high!
Repurchase: No - I really like them, but that price is too high for me (but I have a few more to use!)

avene eau thermale soothing moisture mask

February 4
Avene Eau Thermale Soothing Moisture Mask ~ sample (full size is $27.91). Normal to sensitive skin. Tired, dull, lack luster skin Reactive skin (Redness, tightness, sunburn). Benefits: Rich, creamy, non-setting mask soothes over stressed skin. Replenishes moisture to dehydrated skin and helps restore skin's barrier. Deeply penetrates skin to restore suppleness as it minimizes redness.

This is a wipe-off mask, but I generally leave it on for extra moisture and my skin absorbs it quickly. I have featured this on the past 2 Month in Masks posts, so I'm actually a little shocked at how long this little sample has lasted for! I do like this mask and it does make my skin feel more supple.
Repurchase: Maybe, I will decide when I'm done this....

juara turmeric mask

February 11
Juara Skincare Turmeric Antioxidant Radiance Facial Mask ~ sample size 0.34 oz for $4.19 (full size is 3 oz for $37). A must for radiant skin, JUARA’s Turmeric Antioxidant Radiance Mask utilizes the proven power of Indonesian turmeric. This powerful mask detoxifies, brightens and strengthens stressed, tired, dull-looking skin in one single application. Turmeric extract works to brighten and even out skin tone while providing antioxidant protection, kaolin clay purifies skin and refines pores and a touch of candlenut oil is added to soften and nurture skin. This unique mask is a great instant pick me up!

I got this in the past with Ipsy points and was excited to try this. This is a light cream lask that you apply and leave on for 10-15 minutes and then rinse off. It sort of dried on the skin but not really and you can feel a slightly tingling sensation. I just read on the website that you can use this an an overnight mask too, so I might try that soon!
Repurchase: I will make up my mind later as I have only used this once

medicos v snail mask

February 12
Medicos V Essential Mask - Pure Snail ~ $3.00. Snail extract penetrates deep into skin to give nutrition and elasticity to firm the skin. Skins remains moisturized all day long.

I got this in a past Beauteque Mask Maven pouch - I loooove snail masks! Seriously, the skincare benefits are amazing! The source of this photo is Beauteque (whoops, I did take pictures and don't know where they went!) The material on this mask was quite thin making it a little hard to unwrap, but this stuck to the skin so well and overall this was a good fit on my face. I really liked how this made my skin feel!
Repurchase: Yes, I was happy with this!

the face shop rice mask

February 16
The Face Shop Rice Mask ~ $2. A mask sheet that has rice extract keeps the skin spot-free and bright.

I have featured this mask on probably all of my past Month in Masks - this is easily my go-to inexpensive sheet mask. It brightens my skin so well and makes it feel great!
Repurchase: Already have and will keep doing repurchasing!

February 17
Leaders Mediu Amino AC-Free Mask ~ $2.33 (set of 10 for $23.31). Enriched with amino acids, aspartic acid, AHA and snail secretion filtrate, this acne-free mask works on oily or sensitive skin to soothe skin and combat acne.

I featured this mask on a Wine and Mask Wednesday post here. This post is designed for oily skin so I wouldn't normally go towards this type of masks as they can normally be drying to already dry skin. This did not dry out my skin and made it feel good - it lasted for 45 minutes and was full of essence.
Repurchase: Probably not, it is not for dry skin and Leaders has great masks for my skin type

albertini warm love pumpkin exfoliating mask

February 21
Albertini Warm Love Pumpkin Exfoliating Mask ~ sample size (full size is 5 oz $23). Use Warm Love pumpkin exfoliating mask after cleansing your face, and prior to moisturizing. Use Warm Love mask 1-2 times a week for improved skin texture.

I have featured this mask on a Skincare sunday post, for a more detailed review go here! This mask smells JUST like a pumpkin spice latte - it is sooo good! It goes on and then you add some water and scrub the mask, let it sit for a few minutes, and rinse off. It is a little messy to rinse off but made my skin feel super great!
Repurchase: Yes! Love this!

February 24
My Beauty Diary Strawberry Yogurt Mask ~ $2.19 (10 for $21.90). Skin-balancing sheet mask steeps skin in natural strawberry essence that cleanses and moisturizes with its fruit acids, minerals and enzymes. The active lactic acid in yogurt essence normalizes oil secretion, minimizing and refining pore size in the process. Skin feels soft and fresh after every use, with continued use giving complexion a lustrous and brighter appearance.

I featured this mask on a Wine and Mask Wednesday and you can see it here! I liked this mask - it fit surprisingly well and had a little hint of strawberry in it. It made my skin feel better and overall it was decent - it wasn't the greatest mask ever, but I liked it.
Repurchase: Maybe!

That's it - only 8 masks this whole month! I can't even believe it - I think this is a record low for me! This is so few and again, my goal for next month is to redeem myself and use a mask every single day! Ahhh - never as low as 8 again!
