July 2020 What I Bought - Monthly Haul!

I set one of my 2020 goals to be actually sticking to my $100 a month Beauty Budget - last year I attempted this and didn't do so well, so I'm actually trying to be a little more strict on myself! I really want to make sure that I can use and enjoy the products I have in my collection and that I will really use the products I picked up!

I always love my Monthly Haul posts to share with you everything I picked up (since I can't review everything I buy)! I also am trying to hold myself a little more accountable to buying products that I really want and will actually use!

July 2020 What I Bought - Monthly Haul!
I purchased everything in this post

Soo AE Haul ~ $47.28 CAN. I was really excited when I saw that Soo AE came out with a line of Hanbang masks, because I've used them from other brands and really enjoyed them! Soo AE is such an accessible k-beauty brand, so I love seeing these ingredients expanded to more brands! I also loved the look of the fruit line and a wine mask! The Glacier mask was added in as a freebie!

Five on Friday - February 2, 2018

Happy Friday everyone! I can't believe it has been almost a week since we have been home from vacation! It's always hard to get settled and organized after getting home I think and it's been a bit of a busy week!

ONE

November 2017 - What I Bought This Month!

It's time for my monthly haul - I have really enjoyed seeing what I buy every month! I like that I get to share everything I have purchased (because really some of it would get lost in my beauty collection if I didn't!) Also these posts helps to keep me on track - I am planning on trying to only spend around $100 per month on beauty since I am be on a smaller budget with a new baby!

I will only include products I have spent money on - gifts, pr samples, and freebies are usually shared on posts like my Five on Friday posts!

Here is what I bought in November:

Sephora Order #1 ~ $52.08. Ahh.. the first of a few Sephora orders this month! This order was made during the first weekend of the VIB Rouge sale so everything here was 20%! I think I was fairly reasonable during the sale - I picked up another Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer because mine is running low. And, I picked up 2 new products - The Brazilian Crush Body Fragrance Mist (because I really loved the smell of the Bum Bum cream), and the House of Lashes lash glue because why not try it on sale - I heard it is amazing! I also picked up the Tarte Birthday gift and 3 samples from Fresh Beauty and Verb!

Five on Friday - November 17, 2017

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you all had a great week - mine was a little busy but good! I think i'm getting repetitive; but, the baby is teething again this week and has had a few rough nights! So, the days seem to be longer when there is something on the go and I am getting less sleep! Enough complaining though, here are some highlights from my week:

ONE

I just received my package from the CBB Secret Santa! Every year a group of beauty bloggers get together and swap gifts - we usually swap makeup; but, my little wishlist had everything from makeup to teas to books! I already tried the Pluck Icewine Berry and it's so good! Plus, 13 Reasons Why was on my to-read list and the mug so cute!

Plus, my Santa chose to remain anonymous, so thanks to my Secret Santa!

Five on Friday - November 10, 2017

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you all had a great week!

ONE

This past week I celebrated my 31st Birthday - on Nov.7! It was really quiet - we went shopping during the day, ordered in from our favorite Indian restaurant and had a yummy bottle of wine! We also had a couple family dinners! Nice and quiet!

Five on Friday - November 3, 2017

Happy Friday everyone! Can you believe it is November already?! It certainly feels like it - Winter came in full force this week in Calgary! It is snowy and cold here!

Also, November is National Blog Posting Month (NaBloPoMo) and I have challenged myself (along with a few CBBers) to post every day for the whole month! I post a fair bit already so I am hoping you like the extra posts this month!)

ONE

I have had this little Dragon costume for Elliott for a while and I had to be the Mother of Dragons and have my husband be Jon Snow! We are huge Game of Thrones fans - read all the books and watched all the seasons, so it was a must! I really tried to get Damian to be a skeleton dragon, but it wasn't scary enough for him! He wanted to be Freddy Fazbear from Five Night's at Freddys!

But seriously, I came across Small Batch Soaps on Instagram from a fellow blogger who posted a picture of their unicorn soap and I HAD TO HAVE ONE! Then, I scrolled through their instagram and needed one of everything so I placed an order ASAP!

Skincare Sunday - Lifance Natural Skin Care Body Products Review!

Who doesn't love supporting local businesses?! I love nothing more than finding great companies with amazing products that are local! I encountered Lifance Skin Care last year at the Calgary Woman's Show and was instantly in love with how beautiful their products were (hello - cake and cupcake soaps, I was sold!)

I was excited to get the opportunity to review a few of their products to let you guys know about this company! I will actually be reviewing some body products this week and next Sunday, I will be featuring some face skin care products as well!

Skincare Sunday - Lifance Natural Skin Care Body Products Review!

Lifance Skin Care is handmade right here in Alberta and they are dedicated to making pure, concentrated, natural skin care products. They focus on using quality concentrated ingredients that will have the highest impact on the skin - for example, peptides, marine collagen, caviar oil, cucumber, raspberry, hyaluronic acid, etc! The products are all preserved naturally and are chemical free. Because these are preserved naturally, they do need to be used within 3-6 months of opening, and have a shelf life of 12 months unopened.

Five on Friday - January 27, 2017

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you all had a great week! My son turned 12 this week and it was really hard for me to believe - he is such a great boy and I couldn't be more proud of him, but some days I wish I could slow down the clock a little because next year he will be a teenager! Whoa!

ONE

Last month I bought a little surprise pouch from an amazing blogger as she was clearing out some of her beauty products that didn't work for her! I ended up with a high end lipstick, a highlighter, a gorgeous ombre blush and a few extra lip goodies!

Hi everyone!!! I feel like I have been gone for so long - I am just home from my 2 week vacation in Kauai, Hawaii! I have never been before and it was so beautiful! I will do a travel recap soon and tell you guys all about it!

Hopefully you followed along on instagram (@reneeclementine) so you could see how beautiful it was when I was there!

ONE

Here is a look at the goodies/souvenirs from my trip to Kauai - I always love to find things I will actually use! I got:
  • Handmade Lychee Soap
  • Hawaiian Mango Lipbalm
  • Lavarock Pumice Stone
I am so excited to use this pumice stone - how cool is this?! And the lychee soap smells unreal!!!

In July, Bath Time Box changed their boxes to smaller boxes which I think is a great idea! The products did not get smaller because of this and it makes sense as Canada Post is expensive to ship with!
