I am always excited to review a great book and The Spellshop by Sarah Beth Durst is a great, cute, cozy fantasy novel! It takes place as our main character is fleeing an uprising in the city and she gets on her boat with some spell books she wants to keep safe and her helper, a sentient spider plant. With nowhere else to go, she flees to her home island where she plans on staying to herself so no one should find out what she has. But of course, there are neighbors and people start showing up in the island so they have to band together and make a living! It was a great story! 4.5 stars.
TWO
I picked up a few good things in a Facebook auction recently - a good pair of American Eagle jeans and Ricki's comfy but dressy pants. Both of these fit well and are great! I always love finding quality second hand goodies!
THREE
I picked up a game find to play with Elliott - Monopoly Bid. I recently picked up Monopoly Deal, but we love playing games, so this should be a fun one! Have you played it?!
FOUR
This past weekend, Elliott and I went out to the Dollarstore and they had some cute stuff! Elliott is all over the minions again thanks to Despicable Me 4 (which I still need to see) - they had some cute activity books, early readers and a cute Embroidery Kit for me!
FIVE
I binged a couple of shows while I had a couple of free nights to myself - I binged Too Hot To Handle and Dirty Pop and both were good. Too Hot is trash and I love it, because they are just so absurd. But, Dirty Pop was full of info - for someone who grew up with those Boy Bands, I had no idea what else was going on!
