This subscription focuses heavily on make-up items - so that is something to keep in mind! (I personally love all the makeup though and they have sent full size palettes in the past!) While it is a little pricier than the more inexpensive beauty boxes, the majority of the products are full size, with a deluxe sample every once in a while.
Every subscriber generally receives the same products, but their is usually 1 or 2 items that have a few variations, so our boxes may not be identical!
Here is a look at my July Boxycharm:
This month's theme is "Cutie Pie" and Boxycharm always includes a detailed product card explaining the items that were included in each month's subscription.
Here is a look at the products I received:
BareMinerals Invisible Light Translucent Powder Duo ~ $32.00. This silky and ultra-fine combination of setting powder and finishing powder instantly vanishes on all skin tones. Enjoy on even, long lasting, natural looking, luminous complexion.
I love that this has two finishes - matte and glow! What a great idea! This would be great to travel with as you only need to bring one compact. The powders are super smooth and silky and I love the finish of both. These swatch a little white so you need a light touch when applying, but they applied well on my skin!
Blinc x Boxycharm Electric Eyes Palette ~ $45.00. This palette features a combination of 5 highly-pigmented, jewel tone eyeshadows. The shades beautifully pair together to give a gorgeous, golden eye look. This formula blends effortlessly, and is long-lasting.
This palette is stunning! Like, stunning! The shadows are mainly neutral, with a pop of cranberry. These shadows are a creamy formula - they apply so bold!
Here are the shadows swatched - swiped once in natural light:
Two of the shadows are quite similar, but one is more bronze and the other more gold. I love the shadows and see myself using these shadows a lot - this is my typical all over lid shades and finishes!
ColourPop Ultra Satin Lip in "Lock Diary" ~ $6.00. High pigmentation and a satin-matte finish in liquid lipstick form to keep your lips soft and comfy all day long.
Lock Diary is actually a shade from the limited edition Hello Kitty line and is sold out now. This shade is described as a deep fuchsia and it is a little similar to the shade I received last month. I do like this though and I like the Satin lips!
Winky Lux - Uni-Brow Universal Eyebrow Pencil ~ $12.00. One brow pencil to rule them all! Simplify your brow game with the 2-step pencil that works on 95% of brow shades. The firm texture gives maximum control so anyone can be a brow boss.
So swatching this I thought it was a little hard; however, when using it on my brows I thought it applied really smoothly! It is actually a little darker that I was expecting since it is supposed to be a universal shade. I won't complain though as it works for me!
Project Beauty Spray.Set.GO. Makeup Setting Spray ~ $32.00. Keep your makeup fresh all day long. Just Spray, Set & Go! Makeup Setting Spray with Wild Chamomile, Rosehip and Green Tea Extracts locks your makeup in place while keeping skin soft and moisturized. You've got this gorgeous!
I use setting spray all the time so I am happy to see this! Project Beauty has been included in Boxycharm a bit and it looks like they mainly do hair products, but I will test this out. The spray is decent and seems to work well!
Now, I loved this month's products so much and I thought they worked together really well together so I created a full face makeup look with all the goodies!
Boxycharm came with 5 full sized items and a value of $127.00. This subscription came with a great variety of makeup - powder, lipstick, eyeshadow, brows and a setting spray! I am really happy with all of the products in this month's box! Boxycharm always has a huge value and is well worth the subscription price to me!
