My 13 Step Night Time Skincare Routine - Skincare Sunday
Happy Skincare - it has been quite a while since I have posted my full, detailed skincare routine! I have updated it, and the products have changed, but here are the general steps that I follow for my nighttime routine! (You can view my previous Nighttime Skincare post to see my inspiration for this routine!)
I use a lot of products every night! It may seem overwhelming to some - but this is my personal interpretation of the 10-12 step Korean skincare routine. The basic Eastern philosophy on skincare is that you put as much time in to your nighttime routine as you do getting ready in the morning! Korean skincare really focuses on putting effort in to your skin with products that are good to your skin (where generally the Western philosophy is to rush through the process).

Five on Friday - April 1, 2016
Happy April Fools Day everyone! (Do people still celebrate that? I haven't seen any pranks for a few years as my son has been too little, so maybe now that he is getting older I can expect some pranks coming my way!)
I really enjoyed having a short week for Easter this week! It was a very nice relaxing long weekend!

Have you guys heard all the Instagram craziness going on?
First and the biggest, Instagram is changing their algorithms from reverse chronological to "top priority" meaning what they think you will like the most. You will now have the option to get notifications from people. But this is not cool - who wants to get phone notifications every time someone posts?! So everyone is getting a big influx of people asking their followers to subscribe. I say DON'T DO IT! I will not be subscribing to anyone, nor will I be asking for anyone to subscribe to me. This way will also allows for more ads and paid feeds to show up. I'm not happy with these changes, and this may be working - Instagram posted on Twitter that they are listening and haven't changed anything yet.
I don't want a bunch of ads and paid feeds, I am happy with it now - I like the order it is!

Skincare Sunday - My Nightly Korean Skin Care Routine
Welcome to my first Skincare Sunday! I thought it would be fitting to do a few posts about my routines and eventually get in to my favorite products!!
My longest Skincare Routine is my nightly skincare - this is sometimes 10+ steps! (But in the end it is so worth it!)
Thanks to Memebox and a few other boxes I found along the way - I have drastically changed my skincare routine - from 2 steps to 10 steps! I like the Korean approach that as long as it takes you to get your face ready in the morning, it should take you just as long to care for it at night!
So this is my interpretation of the 10 step Korean Skincare Routine (you can view Beauteque's 10 step routine on their blog here and Into The Gloss's interpretation here - both have been helpful to me!).
Step 1: Make-up Removal
It is important to use a gentle remover or wipes, especially to remove eye make-up prior to washing your face! Be gentle and don't pull too much - this step is helpful so you aren't scrubbing or pulling too much while cleansing!!
Here are the make-up removers I am currently using (of course this doesn't mean these are the best products, just what I like/have):
