Manicure Monday - Reverse Stamping Rainbow Nails

Happy Manicure Monday everyone! Can you believe it's June already?! I know people are tired of hearing that, but seriously, that month just flew by!

For the month of June, the #CBBxManiMonday group decided to try something new for our theme and went with a Nail Art Roulette style of picking our themes! As a group, we picked 5 colour ideas -  sunset, rainbow, pink, black & white, and neon and 5 themes - gradient, packaging inspired, matte, texture and minimalist. Then, we are each randomly picking numbers to create totally random pairings! And, what's really fun is we don't know what everyone else picked each week, so it's a surprise!

The OPI polish was received as a PR sample - everything else was purchased by me. This post contains affiliate links

For this week, I got Rainbow and Minimalist - these ended up being slightly less minimalist than I was going for; but, I really love how they turned out. I thought the little rainbows and clouds would be perfect for the minimalist theme and started with them just on an accent nails, but they were so cute I just couldn't stop stamping. (Not surprising, I'm not a great minimalist to begin with!)

But, if you are interested in some minimalist rainbow nail art, I have actually done some rainbow nail art (that is much more minimalistic) and rounded them up here for Pride Month before! Also, I'm happy to kick off June with a rainbow look because it is Pride Month!

I've been trying to get more in to stamping and I thought this design was the perfect way to try reverse stamping! So, what you do is you use the stamping plate with your outline colour - I chose black to make it pop. Then, using the nail art polishes, I quickly filled in the rainbow images and clouds (I worked quickly and I think this looks okay not being too precise!) Then, once the pictures are filled in, you stamp the whole design on the the nails!

For this mani look, I started with the glittery blue polish for a fun and pretty background and then I reverse stamped the rainbow design on all my nails!

Again, I know it's not super minimalist, but I really love how these nails turned out! Reverse Stamping was actually easier than I thought it was going to be (especially if you have nail art polishes with the really thin brushes!)

I hope you all have a great week! As always, make sure you check out Cosmetic Proof and Prairie Beauty Love to see what nail art combinations they picked this week!
