Manicure Monday (ombre polka dots) + Monthly Pedicure (teal toes)

Happy Manicure Monday! I was going for an ombre polka dot nail art look - I'm actually not a huge fan of how these turned out (but I'm feeling the Mondays and there is no way that I am re-doing my nails!)
ombre polka dot nails

For this look you need a neutral base and 3 ombre shades of the same colour family. I used:

-Formula X nail cleanser, base coat, and top coat
-Ciate polish in beach bum (neutral)
-Ceramic Glaze in Seize the Day (dark pink)
-Sally Hansen in Bubblegum Pink (medium pink)
-LVX polish in Lolli (light pink)
-dotting tools

This Mani was reallly easy to do - here are the steps I followed:
1. Nail cleanser and base coat
2. 2 coats of base polish shade
3. Using the biggest dotting tool and the darkest shade, dot 2 lines at the top of nail
4. Using a medium dotting tool and a medium shade, dot 2 or 3 lines in the centre of the nail
4. Using the smallest tool and the lightest pink shade, create 2 lines at the bottom of the nail
5. Topcoat

Like I said, I don't love how this turned out - it looked much better in my head!

Good thing, I love the colour of my Monthly Pedicure! I was going with a nice beachy teal shade!

I used:
-Formula X nail cleanser, base coat, and top coat
-Sally Hansen in The Real Teal
-textured Style Essentials polish

The steps I followed were really straight forward for this week's toes:
1. Nail cleanser & base coat
2. 2 coats of teal base polish
3. 1 or 2 coats of textured polish
4. Top coat

Sorry this was a quick post everyone, the Mondays are getting to me and I'm off to bed early! Hope you had a great Mani Monday!
