Skincare Sunday - Hangover Skincare Tips!

*Here is the irony of this post - I wrote this for Skincare Sunday knowing that I was attending a wedding on Saturday night; turns out I was too hungover yesterday and forgot to post! Whoops - don't worry I followed my skincare tips so at least I looked good!

While we all know here that I love my Wine + Mask Wednesday, but other than that I try not to consume too much alcohol as it can wreck havoc on your skin! 

When you do have a little bit too much to drink, your skin needs some extra love and care!! 

Here are my Top 5 Hangover Skincare Tips:

1. Wash Your Makeup Off Before Going To Bed!! 

This is one of my skincare tips ever!! But seriously, this is a must! Even if you are exhausted - leaving your makeup can clog your pores and lead to blemish and yucky skin!! 

2. Rehydrate!! 

Even when you are drinking, you have to be thinking ahead to the next day and drink a ton of water throughout the evening! Also, drink water before bed and bring lots with you while you go to bed! The next day, drink extra water alllll day!!

3. Moisturize! Moisturize! Moisturize!

Layer on extra moisturizer!! Layer, layer, layer!! Seriously, show your skin extra love - if you have time to use a face massage lotion, do it! 

4. Masks!! 

This is an part of the re-moisture phase!! I would even recommend using 2 masks - I would suggest a skin purifying mask to help get any gunk out, and follow up with a deep moisture mask! Also, if you have to go anywhere, use eye masks!! 

5. Try And Eat Well

This can certainly be a hard step to follow (don't get me wrong, I love a big breakfast after a night of drinking) but it so important to remember to eat your fruits and vegetables! Not only will it be good for your body, it is good for your skin!
