May 2014 Wantable Accessory Box - Review and Unboxing (and it's not very good...)

I was really excited about the idea about Wantable. For $36 a month (plus shipping outside the U.S.) you can choose an accessory, make-up, or intimates box. The boxes are customized to the preferences you select during the questionaire.
The part i really like about Wantable is that you can skip a month at anytime, as often as you choose, or pick between boxes you want every month.

I read the reviews on the Accessory Box and was very excited - looked like everyone received a great mix of scarves, necklaces, sunglasses, watches, ect. so I was really excited to try it out!

My May box cost $36 + $6 shipping + a few $ in tax and duty. My total in Canadian was $52.60. To spend that much on a box I am expecting some good stuff!

So my first issue with Wantable was the shipping - originally the package shipped on the 9th or the 10th and sent me a tracking #. On the 13th I noticed that on the tracking information it said "returned to sender". Wantable did not contact me - i had to contact them to see what was happening - i then got informed that there was an "issue with a batch of international orders and yours was one of them". Then I was informed that they would be resent out soon. No new tracking information sent at all. I received my package on the  26th which was pretty fast for a re-send so i was excited to dig in!!

First I will show you what my preferences look like:
My Wantable Accessory Preferences
The package comes really nice in a little box and every thing in little black bags well packaged inside.

Manicure Monday - Coral and Blue Polka Dot Nails!

Time for another Manicure Monday... it wasn't as fun because there was no Game of Thrones on last night and i wanted to do another design but my nail polish was not drying fast enough!

Here are the products I used:
My Products
I used Sally Hansen in Breezy Blue #481 ( i usually love name brands, but Sally Hansen is one of my favorite inexpensive nail polishes that i think is good quality and lasts for the week!). I used just a good covering white and Ciate in PP101 Kiss Chase. And then as usual, i used X Formula Nail Cleanser, Base Coat and Top Coat. I also used nail dotting tools in different sizes (a pack of 5 can be found for an awesome price on ebay).

May 2014 Your Bijoux Box - Review and Unboxing

Yay!!! My second monthly subsription box has arrived - and this time it is jewellery!!!

There is so many jewellery and accessory boxes out there to pick from - it was hard to decide which ones I wanted to try! (watch for a future post on all the types of these boxes)
I decided on Your Bijoux Box because it looked like it sent out a really great mix of statement pieces and everyday pieces! Also you will get 2-3 pieces every month with a $70 value but you do not get the option to customize - everyone gets the same box!

Your Bijoux Box is $35 a month + $6 shipping (with the exchange rate I paid $45.87 Canadian)
You can also save a little money if you sign up for 3 months it is $99, 6 months is $195, and 12 months is $380.
Also - you can cancel your supscription before the 1st of the month, and there is not wait list to re-subscribe. If you want to test it out you can sign up for a 1 month gift so they don't keep charging you if you forget to cancel!

Anyways - to the box! ( i have no photo of the cute little blue box with a little quote inside because when i picked it up from my mail box it was half soggy - eww but it didn't effect the contents inside so i'm not to worried about it!)

Each item is sent in a little black bag annnnnd.... here is what I got:

May 2014 Ipsy Glam Bag - Review and Unboxing!

Okay - so this is what I have been waiting for!! Ipsy is the reason i started looking in to monthly subscription boxes! My new work partner told me about it and I signed about a month ago and have been waiting (im)patiently for my first bag to arrive!!!

Ipsy was created by Michelle Phan, a notable makeup youtuber who created this business. Every month you receive 4-5 make-up/beauty sample products (if you are lucky some come full size too!). I was really excited to try it but was slightly disappointed that they put me on a "wait-list" - as soon as a friend of mine signed up I was instantly off this wait-list. I'm not a huge fan of this but i was excited about the idea and would have waited!!
Ipsy is $10 per month (or $110 a year) + shipping to Canada (with the exchange rate right now i paid $16.85 Canadian)

So here it is - the May 2014 Ipsy Glam Bag arrived yesterday!!
My first look! How cute is the hot pink envelope you get it in?!?! Ipsy reveals what they send to you prior to sending it; however, i really want it to be a surprise so I don't check the website so it will be a big surprise when i open it in the mail!
May 2014 Glam Bag
So Ipsy comes each month in a little makeup bag (from the reviews I have read some people don't like all of the bags) but this little bag is super cute!! The May 2014 Glam Bag is all about "Fresh Picks". First look at my bag and I got a sunscreen, face mask, moisturizer, eyeshadow and a makeup brush.

Manicure Monday - Hearts, Stripes, and Glitter!

I love my Sunday nights watching Game of Thrones and painting my nails! This week's inspiration came from Pinterest (as most weeks do!)

Here are the products I used:

Formula X nail cleanser, base coat and top coat/ Color Club purple (not sure the actual name) / Essie in hors d'oeuvres/ Joe in Cloud (light grey for under the glitter) and a basic white and nail art silver glitter (for the slim brush). I also used a nail dotting tool (if you don't have these go on ebay for a pack of 5 its like $2 with free shipping - so worth it!) I also used a toothpick to help with the hearts!
