September 2014 Starbox Beauty Box by Starlooks Makeup Subscription Box Review and Unboxing

Starbox Beauty Box from Starlooks is a makeup subscription box by the company Starlooks. The box is $15 US + $7 shipping to Canada (I paid about $25 with the exchange rate). The box is not customizable and every subscriber receives the same box.

Starbox is different because they send you 3-4 full size items but they are from the Starlooks Make-up line. Their products are all cruelty free and involve no animal testing. The company website says their makeup quality is comparable to Mac, Dior, Sephora, ect.

I signed up last month with a coupon code to receive a free additional product that will be available to the general public in October!

Here is a look at my September Starbox Beauty Box:

And here is a look inside:

The theme for the September Box is "Here comes the Bride". Here is a closer look at the products:

Lip Liner in "Roseate" ~ $12. An ideal, soft neutral base for any skin tone. It is versatile and can be worn as a lipstick alone or paired with any lip color. I'm not sure the last time I used a lip liner, but I just don't wear lip products enough to open this and use it!

Kohl Eye Pencil in "Oracle" ~ $12. Dramatically emphasize your eyes with Starlooks' intensely-pigmented Kohl Eye pencils! These ultra-soft liners glide across delicate lids without pulling. Try a smokey effect by blending outwards with a fluffy brush! Each extremely creamy Kohl Liner can also be used as a base on the entire lid.
Here is what it looks like:

I swear, I thought I was being gentle but it looks like I smashed it in to my arms. So it is really silky and creamy (and very delicate) I like how soft it is but will have to wear it on my eyes to really test it out - I'm not sold on the using a pencil for the whole eye, so this will likely by an eyeliner for me!

Eye Shadow in "Tan Glows" ~ $10. A rich, neutral toned, satin shadow. This is actually a really nice color (and different from the rest of my neutral colors!). This will be a good addition to the mix. Here is what it looks like on:

Nice and Neutral.

Lashes ~ $13. I'm not thrilled about receiving false eyelashes in the box - it's just not a product I use. The only reason I will keep these is because I wear eyelashes once a year, on Halloween - which happens to be coming up soon!

So for around $25 I received 4 full sized products, with a value of $47. I also used a coupon code available last month to get a brand new product worth $12 included:

Endless Ultra-Matte Lip Color in "Lust" ~ matte lips are trendy now this season - I'm not sold on wearing lip colors but I actually really lip this color! Here is what it looks like on:

It's actually a really great pink and matches my skin tone quite well! I'm surprised how much I like it - now I have to find an occasion to wear it!

I did like most of the products I received in this box. I like that all of the items are full sized and the company is cruelty free. This is great box for those who want to receive makeup products over a mixture of skin care/hair/nails/etc. I'm not sure it's the best box for me but I liked the formulas of the products and thought in general it was a good value!

Have you received Starbox before? What do you think?
